Make a statement......Giant rose yes please!

As a paper florist you get inspired to create flowers that are unique. With that being said I designed a 4ft white rose....whyBecause why not. As seen in these stunning photos by Justin Fox and dresses designed by Lynn Lu Luere Luxury, makeup and hair by Maria Bikas Salon.
I ask you how will you make a statement?

Along the way.....

We fell in love and wanted to celebrate our love by getting married. Alison and Nick asked me to be apart of their special day by designing there wedding flowers. With lots of fun meetings and chats we came up with this stunning wedding bouquet.

It was a must by Alison that she had air plants int he bouquet and of course I was up for the challenge of creating them.

With paper flowers we found that colour was at play. Grey peonies well YES.....YESSSSS I love that idea. Why not play with colours and have your personality shine through.

The grooms bout was so much fun to design. Added the much requested air plant to his special flower tied them together.

The very happy couple.

Colourful Summer paper bouquet and crown.

I love summer and the warmth the colours and all that summer brings. This summer I had the pleasure of be part of several style shoots for wedding photographers. Todays post is all about the summer bouquet. It is filled with bright warm colours and Arthur Korbiel Photography captured it perfectly.

This stunning flower crown is perfect. Shimmery pale pink gerbers, red rose roses, forest green succulants and some green ivy on a stunning ivory base.

Doesn't she look amazing. Great job Arthur!

Here is the matching bouquet. LOVE.

Enjoy,
Laura

Wedding signs...

Good morning,
I have been away for a bit and working hard at new designs for my on line store, studio and wedding show events.
This post is all about the Wedding Chair Sign, I love the look of the chalkboard signs that I just had to make one with paper flowers. How cute is this...

I'm HERS and I'm His wedding chair signs for the head table. I love the tree peony so much that I added them to the corners of the sign with a orange and red for HER and blues for HIM.

I than thought that after the wedding you could hang them over the couch or even the bed. Fun home decor too.

Hope you enjoyed the wedding signs and paper flowers for today.

These lovely signs are for sale in my etsy shop.

Top of the morning to you.....

Good morning,
I wanted to share with you the first floral piece of art I did. This top hat I made with individual cut dollies and glued together to form a cylinder shape took me a month to create. I love the delicate look of it and thought how about adding some flowers to it. I began by creating some very simple flowers and then adding them to the side. I kept going with more flowers and finished it with a lovely butterfly with the same dolly pattern.

I loved this piece, it was designed for a contest but it didn't win but I was very proud of my design never the less.

Thinking out side of the box is the best way to create one of a kind pieces and really to have fun. Even after cutting 100 dollies I still had fun.

Keep the crafting fun alive,

Hugs,
Laura

Seeing Fall colours.....

I am just a sucker for Fall....I love the colours and I love that we get to wear layers and watch the leaves turns.
Today I designed a few flowers with rich oranges, and teals with a hint of brown and ivory. Can't go wrong with that combo.
I added some natural cotton branches which soon I hope to make out of paper but all the same they are stunning with these tree peonies. Free down load file at Lia Griffith.com

I did modify a little the centres to make it more my own spin but they are stunning in the original form.

Have a wonderful day and stay tuned for the full lines of paper products using these stunning flowers.

Hugs,
Laura
